Thus started the festival of sacrifice, which Muslims around the world observe to this day. Needless to say, the country is going through an extremely difficult time right now, so now more than ever, that spirit of charity taught by Islam is needed. Let us, this Eid, resolve to give freely, and to be kinder to one another.
