The Alliance High School and Maseno School are among the most celebrated in the country. It is encouraging that some representatives of the Maseno School board have tendered their resignations although the ministry should pay attention to their complaints that the school principal was treated harshly and in defiance of normal procedures. Old boys of the Alliance High School have called upon the board of the institution to step down. The Alliance High School, one of the most admired in the country, should set a good example and the board members would earn considerable respect by doing the honourable thing. As things stand, the inordinately harsh actions taken against a deputy principal and the school captain come across as an exercise in scapegoating.
