It is part of Sky’s new £935m five-year TV deal with the EFL which will see over 1,000 games shown live each season. The blackout is enforced by the Football Association when over 50 per cent of Premier League and EFL games are played and the top flight season starts a week later. Sky are showing the games on Sky Sports+ across their new-look app, live streams and dedicated channel. They will have cameras and commentators at every EFL game with a pledge to show every club at least 20 times a season with ten EFL games shown live every weekend.
