EJ Obiena continued to make waves in the European scene after bagging another gold medal in the St. Wendel City Jump in Sankt Wendel, Germany Wednesday, Aug. 31. Vloon captured the silver via countback after he and Ammirati posted identical 5.81m marks. This was Obiena’s third title and fourth podium finish in nine days after ruling the Stabhochspringmeeting in Jockgrim last Aug. 23 and the True Athletes Classics in Leverkusen, both in Germany. There will be no rest for Obiena as he competes in the Memorial van Damme in Brussels, Belgium on Friday, Sept. 2, a Wanda Diamond League meeting, followed by the ISTAF 2022 in Berlin, Germany on Sunday, Sept. 4. He caps off his busy schedule with the Golden Fly event in Schaan, Liechtenstein on Sept. 11.
