EPRDF to Include Affiliate Organizations in Executive Committee, Council MeetingsOctober 6, 2018 - The just concluded congress of the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) has decided to include affiliate organizations into the Executive Committee and Council of the EPRDF as non-voting participants. They will participate as non-voting members, said Fekadu Tessema, Spokesperson of the 11th Congress of EPRDF. These parties will be non-voting members of Executive Committee until a ‘study’ is concluded, according to the report from the EPRDF. The Congress decided to include Chairpersons of affiliate organizations in the Executive Committee of EPRDF and five Executive Committee members of each organization into the EPRDF Council, he said. And the EPRDF took no major steps to revise the basic functioning and intra-party relations that some might have expected.
