Tukur Buratai, on Friday, disclosed that the fight to stamp out Boko Haram insurgents from Africa is gaining more attention within the international arena. Buratai made the disclosure while receiving some participants of the Bangladesh Defence College on a world tour in Abuja. The Army Chief also revealed that the European Union, EU, had released funds to the African Union, AU, to support the regional campaign against the Islamist sect. He said the fight against insurgency had also gotten the nod of the United Nations and the EU, which are supporting the activities of the Multinational Joint Task Force, MJTF. Buratai further stated that the fight against insurgency had also enjoyed contributions from countries like, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and France.
