A magnitude 4.0 earthquake was reported Monday at 7:57 a.m. Pacific time 10 miles from Brawley, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquake occurred 18 miles from Imperial, Calif., 22 miles from El Centro, Calif., 30 miles from Calexico, Calif., and 44 miles from Coachella, Calif.
