Ebonyi State Governor, Rt Hon Francis Nwifuru, has directed all ministries and agencies overseeing ongoing government projects to complete them within three months or face appropriate sanctions. The Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Barrister Ikeuwa Omebe, disclosed this while briefing journalists on the outcome of the enlarged EXCO meeting on Thursday. He said Governor Nwifuru charged the new appointees to discharge their duties with diligence, professionalism and commitment in support of the administration’s development agenda. Omebe explained that the rural electrification drive is meant to curb rural–urban migration, stimulate grassroots economic activities and improve the living standards of people in remote areas. According to him, the committee was mandated to fine-tune the bill and submit its report at the next EXCO meeting.
