Eddie Garcia’s family slams GMA7 over ‘fake news’ on ‘heart attack’Members of veteran actor Eddie Garcia’s family have called out GMA 7 for initially releasing a statement saying that the 90-year-old showbiz stalwart “suffered a severe heart attack” on Saturday morning while taping for an upcoming series on the network. “That’s fake news,” a very reliable source close to the family told The Manila Times. “For the sake of truth and justice, Eddie did not suffer a heart attack as per GMA7 news. Garcia remains under “critical observation,” the family said in a statement. GMA7 said in a statement earlier on Sunday said that it would investigate the incident.
