A fake tweet has been doing the rounds on social media, purporting to be from The Star and linking a NASA official to the company that organised Monday night's Presidential candidates debates. The Star tweeted on Tuesday: "Presidential Debate: 10 key issues Raila addressed after Uhuru's no-show ow.ly/WYi830dTevS #DebatesKE". A fake tweet from unknown quarters followed with the message: "Debates Kenya Ltd boss Kathleen Openda is also communications executive in the NASA coalition." The fake tweet was cleverly designed to look like a genuine tweet from The Star, Kenya's leading political newspaper. We wish to categorically state that The Star did not send the tweet about Debates Kenya, designed to dupe our followers.
