Edmonton Oil Kings keep their heads and even series with Medicine Hat

After dropping Game 1 of their first-round series aginst the Medicine Hat Tigers, the Oil Kings bounced back Sunday with a 4-3 win in Game 2 to even the best-of-seven series 1-1. “It’s good that we were able to get at least one of two here and we’re excited to head down to Medicine Hat. The deficit brought on a sense of deja vu for the Oil Kings, who had outshot Medicine Hat Tigers 50-27 in the opening-game loss. Medicine Hat would actually go on to take the lead as Brett Kemp, who was traded from Edmonton to Medicine Hat for Josh Williams in January, managed to get the last touch on the puck during a wild scramble in front. The Oil Kings will host Game 5 on Friday, and if necessary, return to Medicine Hat for Game 6 on Sunday.
