Edmonton developer offering up Inglewood house for free — with a few conditions

An Edmonton developer is offering a single-detached home to someone who needs it — on the house. Adam Morris, a developer with Copperblock Capital, poses in front of a home the company is giving away in Edmonton, Alta., on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018. ( Codie McLachlan/StarMetro Edmonton )Adam Morris, a developer with Copperblock Capital, said he initially purchased the property at 11315 132 St. in Inglewood with a plan to demolish the house and divide the lot to build two skinny homes. But even with those costs, it’s still a fraction of the price of a new house, Morris said. He says if they were to build a similar-sized house on the site, it would cost around $160,000.
