Edu told Sky Sports last week: "I don't want to go for top four or top six or top eight or top 10. "Why are a few clubs around the Premier League just signing one or two players? Arsenal are not expected to challenge for the top four - never mind the Premier League title - this campaign but many fans are likely to be hugely frustrated by the scaling back in ambitions.
