The education minister has discussed ongoing digital transformation projects with a delegation from China’s Huawei, focusing on accelerating implementation and expanding infrastructure. Minister Mohammed Al-Qareoue met company representatives on Thursday to review progress and future plans, including projects such as SD-WAN, CloudPad, smart schools and a national data centre. A regional expert from Huawei outlined the company’s strategy for digital education, including its roadmap and current initiatives. The minister expressed strong interest in the proposals, stressing the need to speed up delivery, particularly the second phase of SD-WAN and smart classroom programmes.
