Egypt’s engineering exports reached a record high in February 2026, marking the strongest monthly performance in the sector’s history, according to the Engineering Export Council (EEC). The council said exports rose by 37.6% year-on-year to approximately $709.7m in February, up from $515.8m in the same month of 2025—an unprecedented leap for the sector. On a cumulative basis, engineering exports increased by 15.1% in the first two months of 2026, reaching $1.187bn, compared to nearly $1bn in the corresponding period last year. Egyptian engineering exports also continued to expand across a wide range of international markets. In addition, exports reached major global markets such as the United States and Argentina, reflecting the increasing diversification and global reach of Egyptian engineering products.
