Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production, Salah Soliman Gemblat, met with British Ambassador to Cairo Mark Bryson Richardson and his accompanying delegation to discuss avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation. During the meeting, Gemblat underscored the longstanding historical ties between Egypt and the United Kingdom, highlighting the manufacturing, technological and technical capabilities of entities affiliated with the Ministry of Military Production. He noted that discussions focused on establishing strategic partnerships between military production companies and British firms across a range of manufacturing sectors. Gemblat added that the meeting addressed prospects for expanding cooperation in the education sector, particularly in light of the existing partnership between the ministry’s training arm and UK-based Pearson in technical education. For his part, Richardson outlined areas where integration with military production companies could be achieved, including cooperation on development projects aimed at improving services for Egyptian citizens.
