Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced that the government is currently reviewing a proposal from film industry leaders regarding cinema showtimes. This comes in response to recent mandates for the early closure of commercial establishments to conserve electricity. Instead, it proposes consolidating daily operations into three evening slots at six pm, nine pm, and midnight. Speaking at a press conference following the weekly cabinet meeting on Wednesday evening, Madbouly noted that the matter has been discussed with the Culture Minister. He emphasized that the proposal will be studied within the context of the state’s broader vision, ensuring full cooperation between all relevant parties.
