In a strongly worded statement, Mido described CAF as “a real joke” and labeled the ruling as “the biggest scandal in the history of football.”The former striker did not hold back, criticizing African football leadership and calling for sweeping changes. “There must be a revolution in African football. While emphasizing that his comments were not directed at Morocco, Mido insisted that the outcome of the final should have stood, arguing that Senegal were the rightful winners on the pitch. Senegal were the better team in the final , they deserve to be champions of Africa.
