Egypt mobilizes 30,000 medical personnel to Rafah Border

Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population announced the deployment of a massive medical task force to the Rafah Border, comprising 12,000 physicians specializing in critical care and over 18,000 nursing staff, alongside 30 rapid-response teams stationed at the border, Al-Shorouk reported. These medical professionals, operating under the Central Administration for Emergency and Critical Care, are designated for immediate deployment to manage crises and provide rapid intervention based on the evolving humanitarian and field situation at the border. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, conducted an inspection tour of the Rafah Border Crossing and hospitals across North Sinai Governorate. The visit aimed to assess the readiness of medical services provided to wounded and injured individuals arriving from the Gaza Strip. The Ministry’s official spokesperson, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, noted that the state has activated the National Emergency Health Services Plan to leverage the readiness of 150 hospitals nationwide, supported by a fleet of 300 ambulances equipped with the latest medical technologies.
