Egypt is prepared to transfer its expertise in establishing specialised industrial zones and green energy projects to member states of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said on Sunday. In a meeting with COMESA Secretary-General Chileshe Kapwepwe, Abdelatty affirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting the bloc’s institutions to achieve its developmental goals. He expressed readiness to share Egyptian experience in operating specialised economic zones, solar energy initiatives, and green economy projects to facilitate trade and industrial integration. He identified health, pharmaceutical industries, tourism, and infrastructure as priority areas for enhanced cooperation and the development of links between member states. She stated that the COMESA Secretariat looks forward to continued cooperation with Egypt to achieve development and prosperity for all member states.
