The Shefaa al-Orman Charity Foundation on Saturday inaugurated the first specialized hospital dedicated to treating children’s cancer for free in Upper Egypt. Kabbaj said that this new facility will contribute to the development of Upper Egypt, and comes equipped with outpatient clinics to receive children who suffer from cancer or are suspected of it. The executive director of the hospital, Mahmoud Fouad, said that the Shefaa al-Orman Hospital for Children’s Cancer will work according to the latest international treatment protocols regarding children’s cancer. This helps reduce to hospitalization periods while saving the child and their family hardship caused by traveling back and forth to the hospital. The General Director of Shefaa al-Orman Hospitals for Cancer Treatment said that the hospital includes an integrated department for surgery, an integrated department for radiotherapy, a department for various scans and atomic scanning of all kinds, while also including some of the finest university professors in pediatric oncology.
