Egypt participates in 30th session of African Peer Review Mechanism


Deputy Foreign Minister for African affairs Hamdi Sanad Loza participates in the APRM on Thursday – Egyptian Foreign MinistryCAIRO – 26 March 2021: Egypt took part in the 30th session of the voluntary African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) held virtually on Thursday. The APRM is concerned with monitoring African states’ governance performance. APRM is an instrument for the African Union that allows the bloc’s member states to voluntarily self-monitor their governance performance. Through the APRM, each of the member states independently reviews its compliance with African and international governance commitments. The member states review their performance in terms of democracy and political governance, economic governance and management, corporate governance as well as socio-economic development.
