On December 31, 2021, Egypt received a shipment of 347,460 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine via the COVAX Facility. By the end of 2021, Egypt has administered a total of 55,662,624 million doses of the coronavirus vaccines, according to Acting Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar on Wednesday. Local media reported that consignments – whose size ranges between 20,000 and 50,000 doses - of anti-COVID-19 drugs will arrive in Egypt by the end of January.
