Egypt registers 581 new coronavirus cases with 41 deaths Sunday

In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 41 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 10,995. As many as 444 patients were discharged from isolation hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, taking the number of recovered cases to 144,019 so far, the spokesman said. Egypt’s Health Ministry affirmed that Covid-19 vaccine is 86% safe and effective preventing the virus infection. Health Advisor to the President Mohamed Awad Tag el-Din stated Sunday that Egypt will receive further eight million doses of Astrazeneza vaccine in a few weeks.
