CAIRO - 23 March 2020: Egypt detected 643 new coronavirus cases , upping the total number of confirmed cases to 196,061, the Health Ministry said in a Monday statement. Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 39 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 11,637. The press conference was held to announce the vaccines Egypt receives from China to treat Coronavirus patients. She continued that the Ministry targets to vaccinate approximately 250,000 citizens against coronavirus by the end of this week, adding that Egypt and China are negotiating to manufacture COVID-19 vaccines in Egypt. She noted that the Hajj medical mission will be in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism, Interior and Social Solidarity.
