The vaccination campaign starts to vaccinate the elderly and people suffering from chronic diseases, 4 March, 2021 – Health MinistryCAIRO - 11 March 2020: The Egyptian Health Ministry said 645 new coronavirus cases were detected, upping the total number of confirmed cases to 188,361. Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 46 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 11,128. Egypt has started its vaccination campaign in January, starting with the medical teams at quarantine hospitals, for being on top of priority groups in terms of vaccination. The ministry then launched a website in order for citizens over 18 years old to register to receive the vaccine. The campaign already started to vaccinate the elderly and people suffering from chronic diseases.
