In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 32 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 17,399. Egypt started last week receiving students of university and high institutes to be vaccinated against coronavirus ahead of the new academic year scheduled to begin on 9 October. The Ministry of Health announced on Friday that 745 new coronavirus cases were registered, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 305,269. In a statement, Health Ministry Spokesman Khaled Megahed said 36 coronavirus-linked deaths were recorded over the past 24 hours, taking the nationwide death toll to 17,367 since the outset of the pandemic.
