Egypt plays in Group G alongside Kenya, Comoros and Togo. The Pharaohs and Comoros are leading the group with 8 points each, while Kenya comes third with 3 points before Togo who gained only one point from four games. Egypt had a frustrating start to the qualifiers with two consecutive draws with Kenya at home and against Comoros in Moroni. However, the Egyptians bounced back against Togo and achieved two victories against Togo to take a huge step towards securing ono of the two tickets to the prestigious competition.
