The Egyptian Official Gazette on Saturday published a decree from Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to allow holding weddings, conferences, exhibitions and funeral prayers starting from Monday with precautionary measures in place. Among the precautionary measures to be followed include ensuring that attendees do not exceed 300 people. Meetings and conferences will also be allowed in these establishments, with the number of attendees not exceeding 50 percent of the hall’s capacity and no more than 150 people. The decree also permitted holding cultural exhibitions, festivals and other similar cultural activities in open spaces designated for this purpose, provided that the attendance rate does not exceed 50 percent of the place’s capacity. Most importantly, the decree stipulated that people must adhere to all precautionary measures and health precautions decided upon by the competent authorities.
