China’s Wuhan Engineering Co. and Italy’s Ballestra will help Egypt set up a new domestic fertilizer Complex, the third of the North African country. Egyptian President Abdelfattah al-Sisi discussed on Wednesday with officials from both foreign companies, “Ahram Online” reports citing the Presidential office. The future Complex will complement the existing production of phosphate and composite fertilizers in the area. A Nitrogenous Fertilizer Complex was inaugurated in March 2023, while a Phosphatic and Compound Fertilizers Complex was inaugurated in August 2019. He emphasized that these efforts should focus on the transfer of knowledge, technology, and expertise, building on the advanced productive and operational capacities of major foreign companies worldwide.
