EgyptAir has inked a groundbreaking deal with Air Lease Corporation (ALC) for the long-term leasing of 18 new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The agreement, announced during the Dubai Airshow 2023, is the first deal between ALC and the Egyptian flag carrier and the first 737-8 addition to the EgyptAir fleet. These new Boeing aircraft are confirmed to deliver to the airline beginning in 2025 through 2026 from ALC’s order book with Boeing. These state-of-the-art Boeing 737 MAX 8s are poised to play a pivotal role in renewing EgyptAir’s aging single-aisle fleet. Yehia Zakaria, President and CEO of Egyptair Holding, expressed the airline’s commitment to fleet modernization, environmental sustainability, and future growth plans.
