Egypt’s national carrier EgyptAir has added new routes serving India and the United Kingdom, namely Cairo to Manchester and Cairo to New Delhi. The Manchester-bound flights will kick off on July 15 with plans to operate five weekly round trips on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, using the Boeing B737-800NG model. The first flight from Cairo, numbered MS781, will be at 10:00 am and will arrive in Manchester at 1:30 pm local time. The expansions are meant to contribute to Egypt’s tourism sector. The country welcomed in April a record-breaking 1.35 million tourists, marking a significant milestone for the country’s recovering tourism sector amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine crisis.
