Egyptian businessman re-detained for 45 days for accusations of sexually abusing girls in Upper Egypt orphan


CAIRO - 9 January 2022: The Fifth Settlement Misdemeanour Court decided on Sunday to re-detain businessman Mohamed Al-Amin for 45 days pending investigations for sexually abusing girls in his orphanage and for charges of human trafficking in Upper Egypt’s Beni Suef. Egypt's Public Prosecution announced on Saturday detaining Al-Amin pending investigations for the above-mentioned charges, according to a statement by the prosecution. As per the prosecution,, Al-Amin faces the charge of human trafficking and indecent assault. Police investigations affirmed that Al-Amin had committed the crime, the statement said. Al-Amin is a prominent Egyption Businessman who founded the CBC channels group, Modern network along with the Arab News Agency [AUA], and Al-Nahar TV.
