CAIRO – 15 May 2022: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli will hold Sunday a press conference to present the government's plan to mitigate the impact of the global economic crisis, and attract local and foreign investments. The annual core inflation rate recorded 11.9 percent in April 2022, compared to 10.1 percent in March 2022, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said in a statement Tuesday. Egypt’s annual consumer price inflation recorded 14.9 percent in April 2022, compared to 4.4 percent in the same month of 2021, state-statistics body said Tuesday. In March, Egypt’s annual consumer price inflation recorded 12.1 percent. The Central Bank of Egypt aims to achieve an inflation rate of 7 percent (±2) percentage points on average during the fourth quarter of 2022.
