CAIRO - 29 March 2020: Transport Minister Kamel el Wazir on Monday discussed with US Ambassador in Cairo Jonathan Cohen ways of boosting bilateral cooperation as far as the Cairo Metro is concerned. The meeting attended by representatives from US Bechtel corporation. Wazir said Egypt and the US have strong relations and enjoy fruitful cooperation in the transport sector in general and railway service development in particular. For his part, Cohen said Bechtel wants to work with Egyptian National Railways to conduct economic, environmental and societal feasibility studies about the sixth line of the Cairo Metro (New Maadi/Khusus) in cooperation with local and global companies.
