Eldery woman killed, 1 injured in car-motorbike accidentNAKHON SI THAMMARAT: An 80-year-old woman was killed and a man injured when a motorcycle they were riding was hit by a car in Muang district of this southern province on Saturday night, police said. Pol Col Monthien Baothong, the Muang police chief, said the accident took place at about 9pm on Nam Khaep road near Moo 10 village in tambon Bang Phun. Witnesses said the motorcycle was hit from behind by the car, which was travelling at high speed. The woman, Chamnian Taluang, 80, the motorcycle's pillion rider, was killed instantly. The motorcycle driver, who was not yet identified, was injured.
