Northampton Town have signed promotion-winning Oxford United captain Elliott Moore on an 18-month deal. England Under-20 international Moore, who came through the youth ranks at Leicester City, skippered the Us when they went up to the Championship in 2023-24 via the play-offs. In a club statement, external, Cobblers manager Kevin Nolan said: "His pedigree and experience speaks for itself. He is a very good age, and he has experience of success at this level and of playing recently in the Championship. "He is a leader, a very good character, a physical presence at both ends of the pitch and his influence on and off the pitch at Oxford was huge.
