Elon Musk, who recently took control of Twitter Inc, a social media giant, urged people to support Republican candidates in Tuesday’s US midterm elections. On Monday, he made history by becoming the first CEO of a major social media platform to publicly endorse a U.S. political party through a tweet. Sending a message to “independence-minded voters,” Musk said, “Sharing power curbs the worst excesses of both parties. “Hardcore Democrats and Republicans will never vote for the opposite side, so independent voters will actually decide who is in charge!” Musk posted on his recently acquired Twitter. Musk has said in the past that he would vote Republican, but now claims to support moderate candidates from both parties.
