Team India and Kolkata Knight riders pacer Prasidh Krishna has tested positive for COVID-19 after he reached his hometown in Bengaluru after the suspension of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The news comes a day after the pacer was picked in India's squad bound for the UK for the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand and the five-match Test series against England, as a standby player. According to reports, Krishna was negative before he left the IPL bio-bubble in Ahemdabad but tested positive after he reached Bengaluru and since then has been placed in isolation. Krishna got a maiden call-up to the Indian team in March and he made his debut for his country in the ODIs against England. Although, on a little expensive side, Krishna took six wickets in three games and made his mark as he impressed everyone with his pace and bounce.
