Jofra Archer could play for England in the World Cup and Ashes series next summer after the ECB reduced the required residency period before qualifying to represent the national team from seven years to three. The Times revealed in June that the ECB was considering amending the length of time that a player must be resident in the country before becoming eligible to be selected for England.
