Enugu police arrest three, recover firearms and hard drugs


The Enugu State Police Command has detained three male suspects and recovered firearms, ammunition and hard drugs from them. This is contained in a statement issued by the command’s spokesman, SP Daniel Ndukwe, on Sunday in Enugu. Ndukwe said that on January 19, police operatives of the Anti-Cultism Tactical Squad, acting on credible intelligence, detained Emmanuel Mba, 31, and Nnam Onukwube, 35, in Awkunanaw axis of Enugu South Local Government Area. According to him, the suspects confessed to being members of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity, with Mba identified as the head and executioner of the unlawful group in Enugu South LGA as of December 2025. “Following screening, one suspect, Monday Ezeani, 32, was found in possession of dried substance suspected to be cannabis sativa and 39 pellets of suspected crystal methamphetamine (“Mkpuru-mmiri”).
