Ethiopia, Eritrea Leaders Sign Peace Agreement in Saudi Arabia

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki signed the peace agreement on Sunday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Ethiopia’s Foreign Ministry described it as a “seven-point agreement,” while Eritrea offered no details. Eritrea soon reopened its embassy in Addis Ababa and Ethiopia opened its own mission in Asmara last week.
