The Ethiopia Premier League title race will go to the wire after both challengers, CBE - Commercial Bank of Ethiopia otherwise known as Ethiopia Nigd Bank and Mekelakeya won on Sunday. Ethiopia Nigd Bank beat Shashemene City 2-0, and Mekelakeya defeated Adama City 3-0, with Wolkite City victorious in the third game, winning 2-0 against Hambericho. The 2-0 lead gave them wings even as Mekelakeya scored a 3rd goal through Shimless Bekele, but it will end 2-0 for the Bankers and 3-0 win for Mekelakeya. Ethiopia Nigd leads the table with 61 points, one more than second placed Mekelakeya who are now on 60 points. Wolkite City won 2-0 with goals from Medin Teklu in the 19th minute and a 67th minute strike by Gadisa Mebrate
