Ethiopia’s goverment held peace talks with members of the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) in Asmara, Eritrea’s information minister, Yemane G. Meskel said on Tuesday. We want to achieve self-determination recognized by international law under the current Ethiopian constitution. This is a Joint Statement issued by the Government of Ethiopia and the ONLF on September 18, 2018. ONLF has since declared a ceasefire and is now having formal talks with the Ethiopian government. ‘‘We want to achieve self-determination recognized by international law under the current Ethiopian constitution,” Abdi was quoted as saying.
