It's been some six months now since all schools including higher education in Ethiopia have been interrupted due to the outbreak of COVID-19. According to figures from the Ethiopian Ministry of Education, more than 26 million students have been out of schools, while 46,000 schools were closed due to COVID-19 pandemic in the country. Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa is currently the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic, with more than 50 percent of all confirmed COVID-19 cases, according to the ministry. And it is the fourth most COVID-19 affected country in the African continent, only surpassed by South Africa, Morocco and Egypt.
