Freightos has announced that Ethiopian Cargo will integrate with its WebCargo booking platform by the end of the month, extending digital rate distribution, quoting, eBooking, payment processing and interlining capabilities to freight forwarders worldwide. The move brings Africa’s largest air cargo network onto one of the industry’s principal digital booking platforms. Ethiopian Cargo serves more than 145 destinations globally through a combination of dedicated freighters and passenger belly capacity, offering both standard and priority shipment options. The integration addresses a structural gap in the African air cargo market. While the continent’s air freight sector is growing faster than the global average, a significant share of bookings originating in the region continues to be handled by non-African carriers.
