Ethiopian Industrial Inputs Development Enterprise Shows Inefficient Capacity


The Ethiopian Industrial Inputs Development Enterprise (EIIDE), which was established four years ago, said the low performance of the manufacturing sector was attributable to its inefficient capacity. The manufacturing sector shows low performance mainly because of shortage of inputs supply. According to the Enterprise’s Board Chairman and Trade Minister, Melaku Alebel, the low export performance of the manufacturing sector is attributable to EIIDE’s inefficient capacity of supplying industrial inputs. Ato Melaku said the government is planning to capacitate the enterprise with a view to improving the performance of industries.
