Tadesse said the consulate typically hands over lost-and-found passports and support letters for those whose passports cannot be found. “The consulate collects lost passports from the relevant authorities through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation of UAE.”She said: “There are several reasons why citizens lose their passports. The major reason is that they usually keep the passports with their sponsors and agencies. “It has also received applications for renewal of passports which will be issued by the Department of Immigration of Ethiopia.
