Ethiopian airport customs in Addis Ababa today seized 97.48 kilograms cocaine worth 773 million Birr (around $14.6 million). The cocaine is confiscated from a female passenger who flew from Nairobi to Addis Ababa. The lady whose nationality is not mentioned was carrying the cocaine in two bags each filled with 48.62 kilograms and 48.86 kilograms of cocaine, according to the information released from Ethiopian Customs Commission. Reports show that most of the time Addis Ababa Airport has been used as a transit by global drug traffickers who want to smuggle to another country. It is not clear if she was going to sell the cocaine in Ethiopian market, or pass it to another country after spending some time in Ethiopia.
