Pickford was a standout performer against Germany (Picture: Getty Images)Gary Neville has named Jordan Pickford as his man of the match in England’s Euro 2020 knockout win over Germany on Tuesday, as well as the Three Lions’ player of the tournament so far. Gareth Southgate’s side secured their passage through to the quarter-finals of this summer’s delayed tournament with a 2-0 victory over the Germans at Wembley. But Pickford was the standout performer for Neville, who branded the 27-year-old as England’s best player at Euro 2020 thus far. ‘My MOM (man of the match) last night was Jordan Pickford and I also think he’s been England’s player of the tournament so far,’ ex-England defender Neville wrote on Twitter. ‘I’ve been critical of him with Everton but with England he’s a different player!’Pickford, who is yet to concede a goal at Euro 2020 so far, also caught the eye of his former Everton team-mate Theo Walcott.
